The development of new Freitag products creates challenging requirements and increasing demands on the furnishing of the retail outlets. The aim of the project was to develop a new modular shelving system to showcase Freitag’s diverse and growing product range to its best advantage.
Quo’s agile project management, with streamlined decision-making processes and short review intervals, ensured a successful collaboration between Freitag and Quo’s interdisciplinary development team.
The design of the shelving system focused not only on functional aesthetics, but also on cost efficiency and environmental sustainability, with the latter being one of the main cornerstones of Freitag’s brand identity. Through interactive concept development, prototyping and physical testing, the company was quickly ready for serial production.
The new system provides high modularity while ensuring low complexity with only a few easily assembled, highly versatile sheet steel elements that can be swiftly interconnected to create a wide range of shelving solutions.
This modular design maximises the use of retail space, with all available products on display. The recyclable and easily procurable material is in line with the sustainability requirements of the Freitag brand.
