Strategic repositioning with a future-oriented product portfolio
Heinlein Plastik-Technik is manufacturer of closure and dosing systems as well as application aids for liquid products that are used in the pharmaceutical and medical industries, among others. In order to remain competitive in the long term, the product portfolio was to be strategically reorganised and expanded.
Market trends and potential, stakeholder needs, the competitive environment and the patent situation were analysed in order to create the basis for the future definition of the portfolio. Supplemented by extensive benchmarking, the positioning was determined and a possible differentiation through USPs was created.
The current product portfolio was analysed in order to develop a new, competitive portfolio that fits Heinlein Plastik-Technik. Existing technologies were taken into account and relevant new technologies were identified so that the needs of existing and in some cases new customers can be specifically addressed in the future.
By looking at the existing skills, Quo identified missing competences and proposed new partnerships. In line with the corporate strategy, the project resulted in a product roadmap that meets market and customer needs, fits the corporate culture and infrastructure and thus leads Heinlein into a sustainable and competitive future.
